Miracle-Gro® Patch Magic® Grass Seed, Feed & Coir has a new and improved 4 in1 formula, now containing a tackifier which helps keep seeds from washing away. First shoot in just 4 days (when grown under ideal conditions. Results may vary); grows 2x thicker than ordinary grass seed (for best results follow watering directions. Results may vary); grows on slops (subject to proper care).

Contains a high quality, non agricultural, grass seed mix of dwarf perennial rye grass and fine fescues.

Where to use

For use on bare patches on lawns

Coverage area

300g pouch = 4 patches, 1015g shake jar = 13 patches, 1.5kg bag = 20 patches, 3.6kg bag = 48 patches (or 16m² overseeding), 7kg bag = 31m²

How to use

1	Remove any dead grass from the patchy area, loosen the soil with a rake and give the area a thorough soaking with water
2	Apply evenly as per the instructions, this is crucial as it makes all the difference to the success of germination
3	Water in thoroughly until the coir has turned dark brown
4	Regularly check to make sure the the coir does not dry out (will turn back to light brown), but don't over water!
5	In just one week or so, depending on weather conditions and temperatures, you should start to see your first shoots, then in the next few weeks your patches will start to blend in with the rest of your lawn.
6	Leave your new grass to grow and get established, it should not have any treatments applied to it until it is at least 6 months old.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to water it in?

If rain isn’t forecasted then you’ll need to water it in. The coir will immediately expand and encourage germination of the seed. Water again when the Patch Magic® turns a lighter brown.

Can I apply fertiliser after using Patch Magic?

Patch Magic® contains enough Miracle-Gro® Plant Food to produce strong roots and aid establishment of the seed. It is not recommended to apply most fertilisers onto new or unestablished grass, until it is 6 months or older.

Is it safe to use if I have children and/or pets?

Children and pets need not be excluded from treated areas.

How quickly will it germinate?

Usually germination will happen between 5-14 days. During colder periods visible germination may take longer.

I have lots of patches in my lawn, can I refill my shaker jar?

Yes, you can buy Patch Magic® in pouches and refill your shaker jar.
