When to use
FEATURES
- The release of nutrients depends on temperature - more when it's warm and plants are growing and less when it's cold and growth is slow
- Scotts Osmocote® uses advanced prill technology that ensures even and controlled nutrient release with no wastage
- Controlled release means feeding less often and more effectively; less frequent feeding is more economical and environment-friendly
- Boosted levels of iron & magnesium and other trace elements keep leaves greener for longer and promote healthy growth
- Less than 2% phosphorus (the 'P' in the NPK guaranteed analysis) means it's safe to use on most Australian natives
SUITABLE FOR
- Trees and shrubs (including most natives and other phosphorus-sensitive plants)
- Flowering and leafy annuals, perennials, climbers and groundcovers
- Vegetables, herbs and fruits
- Safe to use on new plantings - the controlled release of nutrients prevents burning of tender new leaves and roots
NOT SUITABLE FOR
- Do not use in hydroponic growing systems, ponds or pots submerged in water
- Do not use on lawns - use only specifically named fertilisers on grassed areas

- Use Garden Beds throughout the garden to promote healthy growth, beautiful flowers and generous fruiting
- Use the rates in the table below as a guide for how much to apply OR broadcast over beds using 50-80g/m2

WHEN TO USE
- When planting - mix Scotts Osmocote® into the backfill soil. Fill around the roots in the planting hole with the enriched soil and then water thoroughly to settle the soil and initiate the nutrient release
- Established plants - sprinkle Scotts Osmocote® in a band around the dripline on the soil (beneath the outer perimeter of the leaf canopy) once a year and cover with mulch. This is where the feeding roots will be, not close into the trunk
