SUITABLE FOR

  • All trees and shrubs that need acidic soil or potting mix in which to thrive and flower well. These plants resent clay soils and will suffer significantly if lime is applied around their roots
  • Acid lovers include blueberries, conifers, hydrangeas, foxgloves, primroses, magnolias, poinsettias and lupins as well as those plants already mentioned
  • Safe to use for new plants - the controlled release of nutrients means it will not burn soft leaves or tender young roots

NOT SUITABLE FOR

  • Plants that grow best in neutral to alkaline soils and potting mixes, including crabapples, mock orange, robinias and viburnums
  • Don't use in hydroponic growing systems or ponds
  • Don't use on lawns - use only specifically named lawn topdress soils on grassed areas
